Praise the Lord…. I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma June 2003, was in remission by Sept 2003 and have been since. I had the 6 mos of chemo and 20 days of radiation. As to date I am cancer-free. The only thing that pulled me through this is my dear Lord Jesus. I felt his presence with me the whole time. How, you ask? I opened my heart completely to him and placed all my worries and concerns in his hands. I am blessed with a wonderful husband and daughter, parents and friends who have supported me since day one.
It is still scary doing followup scans and office visits but I remember a dream I had that keeps me looking in the Lord’s direction for peace. It was one where I was being treated and there was a huge light and peace and a sense of overwhelming love shining into my soul and body. Be open to the Lord, for he will speak to you. I also was blessed with my pastor when I was confirmed. God actually put in his mind to give me my personal memory verse and this I would like you to remember and meditate on it:
Be strong and of good courage, be not dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with you withersoever thou goest.
